Home staging of a villa in Les Issambres

Before:
After:
This luxury villa located in Les Issambres, with indoor swimming pool and wonderful views overlooking the Mediterranean, was to be put up for sale. The interior was not very appealing so I was asked to redesign and stage the living room, kitchen and the indoor pool.

Design considerations:

By removing all the wood boarding and decoration strips and then coating the walls as well as the ceiling with a smooth and white plaster, a fresh and modern base is created. A warm grey accent wall between the kitchen and the living room intensifies the experience of the space.
I proposed to install a completely new kitchen although it would have quite an impact on the budget
. Updating the old kitchen would also be costly with a lesser result. The space allows for a very large kitchen island with a bar and a spectacular view.
The furniture was chosen in grey and white tones with wooden tables, mauve textile and a sea blue accent color for the decorations.
For the modernization of the swimming pool all the tiling was to be replaced with fresh off white oblong tiles and a rust colored tiled plinth. The old bathtub was to be replaced by a new larger square jacuzzi finished off with the same rusty tiles and accessible by small tiled stairs.
To make room for the larger jacuzzi I created a niche in the wall of the storage room next to the swimming pool. Soft and warm spotlight can be fixed in the low ceiling of that niche.
On the other side of the pool area where the sauna is I have created an additional wall with the same style of tiling to harmonize the space. The the sauna, shower, toilet and passage to the house were placed behind that wall.
